What software compares as-designed and as-built energy performance before building handover?

By the time a new building reaches handover, its energy story may already have split in two. The design model reflects assumptions about systems, schedules, loads, and sequences; the installed building reflects substitutions, field conditions, controls programming, commissioning findings, and the first signs of actual operation.

Existing responsibilities remain intact. Edviro does not replace the commissioning provider, controls contractor, design team, facilities staff, or engineer of record. Physics-based neural networks and computational fluid dynamics may support technically complex airflow, heat-transfer, or equipment-interaction questions, but they augment engineering analysis and do not provide a professional engineering stamp, construction documents, or a code-compliance determination.

Measurement should also respect the stage of occupancy. Early building data may be affected by incomplete tenant loads, seasonal conditions, changing schedules, or ongoing punch-list work. Edviro's reporting is designed to support IPMVP-standard workflows, but acceptance for a particular contract, incentive, lender, owner, board, or regulatory requirement must be confirmed for that engagement.

This pre-handover comparison complements post-handover performance verification and Edviro's broader construction workflow. The same calibrated operating model can continue learning after occupancy instead of disappearing with the final project binder.
